In terms of fostering individual identities, it is important to educate students to have the ability to understand different viewpoints of others. Living in an era of pain and disappointment caused by racism and discrimination, they should learn how to collaborate to build stronger relationships. Such a bond is only possible when students are placed in a space where they can understand others’ sociocultural identities with dignity. “Across the Boundaries” is a school designed to allow students to interact and build more supportive relationships in the local community. A ramp is made based on a set of logics using a material study. The modified spaces on the top of the fluid circulation offer students with opportunities to experience more favorable moments with one another. Students, teachers, and parents experiment and experience the school. Together they discover and learn.
