The site used to be the home of the Lenape tribe and has experienced protest, strike, contamination by manufacturing mills, and continues to be in danger today. Bodies that include people who have worked here, the ground, water, and air have been injured. Though the labor conditions are improving, work remains one of several problems that continue to cause stress today. This proposal aims to provide a space for people who suffer a huge level of stress or damage; it supports repair and rest both physically and mentally through individual and private meditation rooms, as well as counseling rooms for residents to release their stress. To understand the history of the site (manufacturing development and strike) and Lenape history, their culture is presented through different exhibition areas. This enables visitors to experience Lenape cultural practices through handcraft-, music-, and history-focused workshops and classes. The proposal also aims to purify the water through vegetation and introduce fish species for viewing and fishing.
