the Ramapough Culture Museum

Architecture elements of the Ramapough Culture Museum are distilled from the Wigwam, the native American dwellings, which is a vernacular construction made by timber skeleton, flatten barks, and straw. The construction made by timber recalls fading memories of primitive tribes, while skeletons with subtle differences innovate the hierarchy of space corresponding to each program. The entirety of the holistic program serves as a vehicle of integration between the past and the present, antiquity, and modernity, oneself with all of humanity.
