Shawn Amsler

Shawn Amsler is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Real Estate Development program at Columbia GSAPP where his courses have included international real estate investment.

Amsler has twenty years experience in real estate development and construction management. He has advised clients on numerous aspects of real estate finance for projects in the United States, Latin America and Europe, and has sourced institutional investors for two North American private equity real estate funds. His projects have included the Viceroy Anguilla Resort in Anguilla, British West Indies as well as the Castello di Casole boutique hotel in Tuscany, Italy.

In addition to Columbia, he has also lectured at Syracuse University and at New York University. He holds a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, as well as a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree from the Pennsylvania State University.
