Michael Clark

Michael Clark is Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Real Estate program at Columbia GSAPP, where has has been teaching since 2006 and co-founded courses in Real Estate Development and Private Equity. He is a Partner at GHC Companies, the parent company of GHC Housing Partners and GH Capital. Headquartered in Los Angeles and managed by Gregory Perlman and Michael Clark, GHC is a vertically integrated real estate company, from acquisition to property management and asset management with a primary focus on affordable housing where it is ranked as the 3rd largest in the country with over 20,000 units under ownership.

GH Capital was formed in 2001 as a real estate private equity firm focused on affordable housing investments. Since then it has expanded to other asset classes within real estate, such as market-rate housing, self storage, and development. GH has over $2BB in assets under management.

Michael Clark has been an adjunct professor at Columbia GSAPP. Currently, he is a Board Member of Impact Network, an e-learning nonprofit that builds and operates schools in Zambia, and on the board for the ALL WAYS UP Foundation, a nonprofit committed to bridging the gap between ambition and achievement for children in low-income communities. He sits on the Board of Directors of Futurism, a media company focused on transformative technologies. He holds a master’s degree in real estate development from Columbia University, and is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of San Diego with a dual degree in economics and accounting with an emphasis in real estate.
