Ibrahim Kombarji is an architect, researcher, and writer. His work focuses on how spatial design and display shape cultural narratives and public experience, with particular attention to environmental and political contexts. Grounded in exhibition design and art direction, his research-based practice operates at the intersections of curatorial and architectural strategies. He has recently developed projects with Centro Pecci in collaboration with the Art Institute of Chicago, Pioneer Works, Maharam, Knoll, Galerie Neu, and Sotheby’s. Previously based in Milan, he was a longtime collaborator of Formafantasma, leading exhibition design, research, and curatorial work with institutions including La Biennale di Venezia, Prada, Artek, and the UNESCO Pearling Path. He has previously taught at the AA Visiting School in Basel, his writing has been published in PIN–UP, Errant Journal, Humboldt Books, and Beirut Art Center. Ibrahim holds degrees from Columbia GSAPP and the American University of Beirut.
