Theodore Prudon

Theodore Prudon, PhD, FAIA, is Adjunct Professor in the Historic Preservation program at Columbia GSAPP and a partner of Prudon & Partners, based in New York City. He is a leading expert on the preservation of modern architecture, was educated at the University of Delft, Netherlands, and Columbia University, where he received his doctorate. Prudon is the President of DOCOMOMO US and a board member of DOCOMOMO International. DOCOMOMO is dedicated to the study of significant works of Modern Movement architecture, landscape design, and urban planning around the world. He is the author of Preservation of Modern Architecture (John Wiley & Sons, 2008).

Theodore Prudon received the 2016 Arts and Letter Award in Architecture from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
