Adjunct Assistant Professor

Zarina Farmer-George is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University GSAPP.

As a young research-based Architectural Designer, Zarina is driven by a passion for equity, justice, and community, firmly believing that architecture extends beyond building design—it serves as a catalyst for creating inclusive, sustainable, and accessible spaces. She is enthusiastic in exploring how new technologies can be used as tools to unveil novel perspectives on architectural design.

Zarina holds a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). During her academic career she served as the UDC Chapter AIAS President and held positions at Gensler.
