Adjunct Assistant Professor

Sebastian Delpino graduated with distinction in 2008 from the Universidad Diego Portales (UDP) in Santiago, Chile, earning a degree in Architecture. In 2016, he completed a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design at Columbia GSAPP, supported by a Chilean Government Scholarship (Beca Chile). During his time at Columbia, Sebastian was awarded the Percival Goodman Fellowship, enabling him to develop a social impact project in collaboration with the cultural organization MilM2.

That same year, Sebastian won the competition to design nine scenic viewpoints along the Carretera Austral, commissioned by the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) of the Aysén Region in Chile. This project was later exhibited at YALA (Young Architects Program), a collateral event of the Venice Biennale 2018.

Since 2007, Sebastian has contributed to various architecture, urban design, and engineering firms, including FG Arquitectos, Felipe Assadi Arquitectos, GHD Ingeniería, and Urbana E&D, while also developing projects as an independent architect.

His professional experience spans a diverse array of scales and typologies, including single-family housing, collective housing complexes, tourist infrastructure, public spaces, and master plans for urban and rural development.

Since 2011, Sebastian has been a faculty member at the Universidad Diego Portales (UDP), where he teaches architectural design studios. He is currently an Associate Architect at Urbana E&D, a consultancy specializing in urban studies and development, and serves as a lead professor for third-year studio courses at UDP.

In 2023, Sebastian founded S/D Arquitectos Asociados, consolidating his extensive experience as an independent architect and collaborator. His practice focuses on architectural design, urban planning, and strategic development across public and private sectors.
