Benjamin Weisgall is a Doctoral Candidate in Architecture at Columbia GSAPP. His research focuses on building technologies and sciences, with an emphasis on Europe during the long eighteenth century. His interests include: intellectual cultures of architecture, histories of building materials, and historiographies of early modernity. He has written for Offramp and Off topic. He received an M.Arch 1 from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and a B.A. in the Science in Society Program from Wesleyan University.
