Negotiating Boundaries: Designing the Voids in Atlantic Maritime Trade for Cultural Empowerment in Cape Verdean Diaspora Community

Departing from the port of Mindelo, a container is a diaspora. While it has to migrate following the trend of the Atlantic trade, it carefully contains the music from home as a seed. When the border in the container is pushed from the side of the recording studio, it’s the seed swelling. It is the new generation of Cape Verdean actively negotiating the boundaries with their music and rooting their identities in new continents.
