Mycellium Fabritory

Using the remnants of a wooden ‘ghost town’ as a productive resource, the project proposes an experimental facility that transforms these already decaying buildings into a food source for varying species of fungi. Creating a new architectural shell that mimics in distorted form the original structures, the fabritory grows over time as it metabolizes their remains and converts them into new envelopes that gradually ingest the ghost town.
