Project by Yiu Lun Lee
This project reimagines the everyday water bottle by dissolving it into traces of motion rather than preserving its physical form. Using hand-cut black, white, and retroreflective tapes, it captures the invisible forces that shape ordinary gestures: pouring, splashing, recoiling revealing movement as a tangible material. As the bottle disappears, what remains is a visible record of pressure, flow, and tension: a moment of action suspended in space. The work explores how the familiar can be understood not through its object-ness, but through the energies that animate it.
