This project proposes a shared workshop on campus, emerging from a simple observation: students tend to move around the site rather than through it. Rather than reinforcing efficient circulation, the design seeks to draw passersby inward — not by force, but by invitation. It aims to create moments of connection between those passing by and the children inside.
To achieve this, a series of pause pockets and intermediate thresholds are introduced along the building’s edges. These spaces slow down movement, spark curiosity, and offer glimpses into the workshop’s interior through carefully placed openings and shared boundaries. Passersby are encouraged to stop, look, and gradually step into a more engaged relationship with the activities inside. In this way, the building’s edge becomes an active layer — transforming passing into pausing, and observation into gentle participation.
