This project uses a multi-agent system to model civic unrest within an urban context. Five classes of agents, a Protestor, a Protest Leader, a Policeman, a Police Leader, and a Journalist, interact with each other and their environment in complex ways. Each class of agent is equipped with unique goals, behaviors, and initial positions. The project looks at the relationship between bodies in space, the design of the urban fabric that governs movement and behaviors within it, and the multiple perspectives and images that are produced by a heavily mediated event.
