This project rejects the inherently unjust Enlightenment carceral paradigm, the traces of which are evident in the spatial and structural violence imposed by the Washington Heights Edgecombe Residential Treatment Facility, by projecting a new imaginary that draws upon community-oriented, non-western and indigenous healing architectures in a “fabulated” archaeology.
