Located along the perimeter of Morningside Park, this project aims to create a soft and accessible edge by replacing the intimidating fences with a series of public spaces. Taking advantage of the transportable and flexible possibilities that a helium structure offers, the lightweight canopy explores different interpretations of spatial experience without changing the local landscape. It reconciles the sidewalk with the park and activates the edge through the ambivalence between appearing and disappearing.
