Reliance on personal vehicles is costing Kingston at least 793,000 tons of carbon annually. This is enabled by almost 500 acres of impermeable surfaces, mostly parking lots, in a city that has other dire and urgent spatial needs. Our project proposes re-purposing infrastructure that supports this lifestyle into much needed housing, open public space and energy infrastructure. Less space for cars, more space for people.
