This project comprises a series of explorations that take as a starting point Pasture by Anni Albers. The design examines how the craft of weaving can create space out of a single surface. Following a series of experiments executed at different scales, the idea of a SOFT architecture emerged. The design features stretchable, operable, flexible, and transformable characters. By using a micro-architectural structure of woven and interlocking spaces, the architectural system can create various rooms to support multiple functions for both individual and collective audiences.
