Humans always try to reach the next destination, but that’s not always possible. In New York City, the average commute time surpasses the national average by 14 minutes. Inside a traditional skyscraper, visitors enter an enclosed box, press a button, and arrive. A modern apartment acts more like a receptacle for its residents’ passions than a generator for them. This project brings people closer to the things they love to spend time on, minimizing the agony of waiting as they travel from place to place. To solve the Point A to Point B problem, this design introduces a secondary circulation system: an internal Ferris wheel-like system. This allows residents to people watch, escape, and learn within their communities. From top to bottom, individual eggs focus on: health, work, animals/pets, museum (entertainment/escape), food, and social interaction.
