Maurizio Bianchi Mattioli

Maurizio Bianchi Mattioli is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia GSAPP and Associate Principal at WORKac where he has led multiple international award-winning projects and competitions including the Beirut Museum of Art, L’Assemblée Radieuse Conference Center in Gabon, Weifang Library and Masterplan, Beijing Horticultural Expo Masterplan and the Marea Residential development in Lebanon. He holds over 15 years of professional experience and has previously worked with Arakawa + Gins/Reversible Destiny, Rafael Viñoly Architects and THEVERYMANY/Marc Fornes.

Maurizio holds a Masters in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University (2010) and Masters of Architecture from the University of South Florida (2016) with honors. Since 2016, He has taught in design studios at Columbia GSAPP and Penn Design and is active as a critic on design reviews.

Maurizio has been an invited speaker at the AIA Center for Architecture, presenting work and participating in panels for the 2017 African Modernism(s): Past/Present/Future and the 2016 Collaboration for Adaptation, Designing for Future Uncertainties conferences. Maurizio is a LEED Accredited Professional.
