In the near future, rising sea level and declining biodiversity might have a huge impact on people’s daily life near our site in Bushwick. Considering these potential hazards, we propose a mixed-use Aquaculture Canal District for the coastal site, with a series of flood infrastructure integrated. By extending the Bushwick inlet further into the land, the waterfront park will restore the historical reef and create a landscape pathway that not only provides economical values, but also change the fixed image of the site and eventually revitalize the neighborhood.
